I’m looking at the picture of Betty and I taken of us, sitting astride the Haley-Davidson motorcycle.
This happened many years ago.
We were both scared.
We hit a top speed of about 85 miles an hour.
When the accident happened, we both survived, but we hit an overloaded truck filled with sand and gravel that spilled onto the road.
I hit the gravel and skidded off the road and landed in a ditch filled with water.
I am a lucky man.

At times of war, the soldiers of our armies, ready to give their lives if needed (many of my friends did).
