Lucky guy living a normal life

When is the last time you read anything written by a 109-year-old man?

The answer is easy. Never.

Not many people make it to my age, nor do many people want to.

Do I?

It’s not an easy question to answer.

It depends how you spend the time you have left.

As an invalid? No.

As a convict in jail? No.

As I’ve written often, I am a lucky guy living a normal life with normal interests.

I enjoy watching tennis finals between equally matched players.

Good food. A bowl of thick oatmeal. For lunch, bacon or ham and eggs, any style. For dinner, what was served last night – a couple of potato pancakes smothered with apple sauce.

In truth, I am not a gourmet and will eat whatever is served.

I am told I am easy to feed.

My favorite dessert is what I had last night, lemon meringue pie (a small piece).

So, stay healthy and Keep Breathing.
